I started fishing initially just to get a day off school after winning a cup final at roots hall and both my parents were convinced it would only be once as I wasn’t the most patient of kids. I jumped in my friend’s dad’s car and we stopped off at Wickford angling along the way so I could grab a float rod and a reel and I spent the day catching roach and bream. I instantly fell in love with the sport and it wasn’t too long before I saved up enough money to get myself some carp gear and the rest is history.
Being limited to weekends I make sure to do my best to get at least one night a week under my belt wind rain or shine. I have an amazing partner at home who also understands that fishing is more than just a hobby to me it’s a big part of my life and that won’t ever change.
