I have been living in the UK for three years now, but was originally born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have been fishing for as long as I can remember, taking it back to early Sunday mornings with my Grandad when I was six years old. Over the last six years my angling has been all about fishing large, expansive waters, fishing great distances with the inflatable boat. However, Walthamstow Reservoirs has definitely made me into a more opportunistic angler. Fishing light and off the barrow is key for me now, and being able to move according to what the fish are telling me to do. My aspirations for the new year is to bag myself a 40lb Common which has seemed to elude me up until now. A European trip is also on the list of aspirations for next year.
