I started fishing with my dad on local club lakes from around the age of 7/8 and my obsession grew from there. A family holiday to France when I was about 10 was where my passion for carp fishing really started. There was a lake on the campsite that held carp up to around 10lb.  We didn’t take any fishing gear so my Dad got pestered for a trip to the local shop to get some basic gear and that was that, most of my holiday was then spent sitting by the lake.

My carp fishing has since been based around the Essex waters, CAPS, Lakelands, Cleverley Mere and Top Lake, The Quarry and The Essex Manor. I dabbled on Horton and Kingsmead although time was limited during COVID lockdowns etc. Currently, I have a ticket on Carthagena in the Lee Valley, a lake that holds some special old carp!

Any spare time and you will find me fishing somewhere, I love everything that comes with it from being outside to chasing that target.
