I started fishing from a young age with school friends fishing for all sorts on little streams, rivers, canals and lakes catching perch, roach, bream the usual smaller species until I had my first ever carp which from then on my fire was lit to say the least.
I spend most of my time down my syndicate after work RK Leisure Jones Pit even if I’m not fishing I like to get in and just keep in tune with the water pre-baiting, prepping spots or just hunting out the carp ready for my next session always trying to be one step a head of the next man.
My favourite season to date was last season where I put a lot of effort in trying to capture my most wanted fish called the Big Common. This turned out to be very frustrating as so many times I had it feeding on spots I had baited etc to then come to catch every fish it was swimming about with but just couldn’t make it slip up. After catching three or four more target fish this same season I was finally rewarded for all my efforts with the said common at 38lb 4oz to say I was buzzing is an understatement and was glad to be able to share the moment with a few good friends of mine so thanks for the pictures lads; Dan, Jake and John.
