Role Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading end‑to‑end warehouse and fulfilment operations supporting both Direct‑to‑Consumer (e‑commerce) and Wholesale / Retail order channels.
This role combines hands‑on operational leadership with structured control of inventory, people, and costs. You will ensure the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and accurately while scaling to meet seasonal peaks, new product launches, and continued business growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehouse, picking, packing, and dispatch operations
- Manage fulfilment across e‑commerce (DTC), wholesale / retail (B2B), and marketing or event stock movements
- Maintain high standards of order accuracy, presentation, and on‑time dispatch
- Own inventory integrity through cycle counting, stock investigations, and reconciliation
- Plan labour resources to support peak trading periods and promotion‑led demand
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal operating standards
- Collaborate with E‑commerce, Sales, and Customer Service teams to support service levels
- Drive practical continuous improvements across layout, process flow, and systems usage
- Monitor performance against agreed KPIs including OTIF, stock accuracy, and labour efficiency
- Control warehouse operating costs including labour, packaging, and courier spend
Candidate Profile
You are a confident warehouse leader who enjoys being close to the operation while also understanding the importance of systems, reporting, and standards.
Essentials
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager or senior warehouse role
- Experience within multi‑channel fulfilment (B2C + B2B)
- Background managing high‑SKU inventory in a fast‑moving environment
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Solid working knowledge of WMS / ERP systems and barcode processes
- Good understanding of UK warehouse Health & Safety requirements
Desirable
- Experience within consumer goods, sports, or outdoor products
- Exposure to pallet networks and retailer delivery compliance
- Experience scaling warehouse operations during growth phases
