Faster, easier and lighter, the latest all-in-one bivvy from the EscAPE range of bankside accommodation offers the same exceptional comfort, quality and all-weather protection in a more compact, portable and modular package. From stripped-back and lightweight for quick overnighters to fully loaded for longer, more comfortable durations on the bank, the modular nature of the EscAPE FQ1 offers unparalleled customisation, allowing you to modify your one-person bivvy to best adapt to your needs and preferences.
The bivvy features unique quick-lock elbow joints and central boss mechanism which allows you to rapidly deploy and fold away the bivvy in a matter of seconds. Our signature waterproof 150D HydroX outer skin ensures you are totally protected from the elements whilst the tape-sealed blackout inner lining helps to regulate the internal temperature, provides privacy and blocks out sunlight for better sleep. Customise the internal conditions further by connecting the optional accessory pockets or by adjusting the adaptive front, side and rear vents to either be fully open, partially open or opt for the protective insect mesh panels instead. The removable front panel converts the Bivvy from the traditional open ‘brolly’ style structure to a fully enclosed bivvy, with adjustable front vents, insect mesh panels and a clear PVC front window. Alternatively, a separate full insect mesh door panel can be secured to the front for a more open protective covering. Heavy-duty zips with water-repelling baffles ensure the bivvy thrives in all elements and is easily adjustable from both the inside and outside to adapt to the conditions.
The removable skullcap can be left on the bivvy for easy pack-down and adds an additional ‘twin-skin’ layer to optimise temperature regulation – boosting thermal efficiency in colder temperatures whilst encouraging airflow in warmer conditions. It also helps to significantly reduce internal condensation and increases protection from the worst overhead conditions thanks to the protruding peak and rain gutter, which guides water away from the front entrance. Four magnetic rod straps on the front of the peak match the four straps located on the bivvy itself, so you always have a few convenient and safe locations to secure your rods. Removable quick-release storm poles easily push fit to the front peak of the bivvy, to provide additional structural stability and maximise the height of the door. Multiple built-in adjustment points as well as a removable tension strap allow you to refine and optimise the assembled structure to your liking. A heavy-duty PVC groundsheet insulates the shelter from the cold ground and the foldback entrance area provides a dedicated sheltered area for muddy footwear. The reinforced pegging points feature a colour-coded locator, which along with the built-in compass, help to easily orientate the bivvy during setup. Even the carry bag has also been optimised with the user in mind, with dedicated pole storage sleeve compartments and adjustable tightening straps for an easy, compact pack down, ensuring the bundle is securely retained.
